Here are sculptures by three different people after 20 hours spread over a number of weeks sculpting from a life model. The model maintained the same pose throughout and the base was rotated at regular intervals. These images show the pieces after firing. Due to shrinkage the feet no longer reach the ground, this shows how much overall mass is lost between sculpting and firing. Such lively work: refined, fresh, raw, fun and all full of life.

Relief Portrait Workshop at The Folk House

Here are seven self portraits in terracotta made during a one day workshop at The Folk House. Below are the results pre-firing. I love to see such a variety of approaches and expressions.
